John Muir Trail 2013

In 2013 I’m planning to hike the famous John Muir Trail. This trip will require us to ascend and descend 10 passes over 10 000 feet over 212 miles in 12 days. We end on the top of the highest point in the lower 48 states, the famous Mount Whitney at a whopping 14 495 feet!

We’ll be joining Adam Nutting from Hikingthetrail.com and David Creech from WildernessDave.com and hiking over 17 miles a day. Much like my Bowron Lakes canoe trip, this trail in California boasts amazing scenery and is an adventure of a lifetime. To make this successful, we’ll have to train our bodies for the constant ascents and lighten up our packs as much as possible.

Currently we are planning 2 to 3 drop points.

We plan to document our adventure via our blogs and through videos on youtube.

How can you help?

We’re looking for gear and financial sponsors for this adventure and can offer a whole bunch of perks.

  • Pre-trip shake down report and video of all gear.
  • Video of all gear to be taken on the trip (i.e. What to pack for the John Muir Trail).
  • Comprehensive gear reviews on the blog and by video on our youtube channel after the gear has been tested.
